The time has come to say goodbye to Cambodia all too soon. Today was a day of last minute shopping at the Russian and Central Markets, followed by another great tour of Phnom Penh by our tuk tuk drivers.
Team 1 gathered for a final dinner at Le Duo, the Italian restaurant we went to last Friday night and now we are doing our final packing.
I'm at a bit of a loss for words tonight, so my blog will be short.........
The past 2 weeks have been by far the most rewarding and enriching experience of my life. I would like to thank Fairview Presbyterian church for the opportunity to participate on this trip, for those at Fairview and in Vancouver who prayed for the team daily, for those who sent us daily e-mails, to my school for granting me a two week leave of absence and to my family and friends for their support. I'm looking foward to seeing you all!
You have heard plenty about 'yellow' paint the past two weeks and it is wonderful to think how this 'yellow' paint will go about transforming lives by bringing so much light to Svay Pak. May Don & Bridget Brewster, Pastor Chantah and his wife, Ratanak and all the youth under his direction continue to be a blessing in Svay Pak as the Sanctuary is about to open. God is doing great things in Svay Pak and I know we all can't wait for the next chapter of this story......Blessings, Mary
